Actually mild in Toronto today. They say freezing rain tomorrow, though. Been shut in and avoiding mirrors for the last couple of months. Just got back from a "supplier" lunch; had breaded calamari starter, New York Sirloin and two glasses of Australian Chiraz. Working on a 48" x 36" commissioned oil painting -- in what spare time I have. Have to finish off the set of questions that will help me graduate from a 3-year course I'm taking in transpersonal psychotherapy skills. Can't wait till spring. Back to shooting lotsa pix again.

Don't know nuthin' about no "puppet angel".

    Who's next with an update?

cold weather in new york is finally breaking (woo hoo!) but busy work schedule has meant not too many ops for photos of late. trees are still bare outside office windows, when they start bursting i'll be getting out more. trying to redesign my website to make it more photoblog friendly, in the midst of designing a site for some friends who have just had first child, breaking in a new computer, cutting a little dv.

lunch? time is an illusion, lunchtime doubly so... (douglas adams)

Been working on getting my new web site up for the past few days when I'm not at work. No snow outside. It keeps missing my area! DAMN! 4 day weekend here! I'll never see that again anytime soon.

Actually, I spent most of this 4-day weekend trying to get Movable Type to work. I'm still having problems with it and I've pulled all my hair out trying to figure it out. Oh wait, I shave my head. I have no hair to pull out!

(yawn) who turned on the lights? Like AllanO', I've been working on a commissioned painting ( www.tracemeek.com/painting/ ), and have been way too busy with 1000 different things and too much work--the usual stresses. (But nothing compared to, say, getting married this year!)

Not taking many pictures lately. Will probably get back to it soon. Sort of feeling a bit of camera envy these days.

    1. Yep
    2. No!
    3. Hmm. Maybe pancakes.
    4. Never did get in to Angel.
    5. Pretty!

Okay, my turn! What are you doing this weekend? Do you floss? If you have in-laws, do you like them? Do you know your city's history? What's your favorite food?

What are you doing this weekend?
On course both days in the my transpersonal psychotherapy skills training.

      Do you floss?
I start flossing in the week before my semi-annual dental check-up and then stop the day after the check-up.

If you have in-laws, do you like them?
Have two sets of ex-in-laws. They all think I'm a bad guy, but it's all based on negative projections of my ex-wives and has no bearing in reality. I'm actually one of the good guys :O).

Do you know your city's history?
Yeah. Ajax, Ontario was developed during the second world war as a town that produced chemicals for the war effort. Most of the small bungalows originally built were for the factory workers. It's now a commuter suburb of Toronto to the west and Oshawa to the east. Oh, and Ajax is also a "foaming cleanser".

      What's your favorite food?
Pasta. Right now I'm hooked on gnocchi with olive oil, garlic, sundried tomatoes and fresh basil. Make it for myself once a week. Crush a clove (or more, to taste) of garlic into two tablespoons of olive oil; boil 500 grams (1/2 lb.) of gnocchi till it surfaces on the water (NO MORE!); drain the gnochhi and stir in the oil and garlic mixture; add chopped up sun-dried tomato (the kind you buy in oil); add lots of chopped-up fresh basil; dust with parmesan and fresh ground pepper to taste. Serves two. YEEUUMMMM!
