Hi Everyone. Starting a new thread for the journey of the Mirror book. At this point in time, the book has gone missing, after malcolm sent it ot Jen Boxer, who appears to have moved. Wed, March 30, 2005 - 11:00 AMBummer. I was very curious to see all these add-ons. Well - things happen. I've sent my address to Malcolm. I hope to report the arrival soon.

Re: MIRROR:RORRIM Book New Thread
Wed, March 30, 2005 - 11:26 AMok - i have miras' address - am considering international fedex instead of airmail (for track and trace purposes). will send in the next couple of days and report back when it has taken flight.
some of the enclosures in previous version included:
- london underground ticket
- autumn leaves: LOTS of leaves!
- empire state building entry pass and valid nyc metrocard
a mirrorproject update photo will be posted before the changeling takes flight.

Re: MIRROR:RORRIM Book New Thread
Thu, March 31, 2005 - 4:22 AMno, not unwelcome. every reader of the book added a little something from their hometown - it became a treat to trn the page and find treasure hidden between the leaves.
i've re-seeded the second volume, so to speak... -

Thu, March 31, 2005 - 12:38 PMHey Sarablue! no, not at all. You are more than welcome. This was a reply to AllanO' post. I was so excited to see all these things that people had put into the book, and now they are all gone.... :-( -

Re: MIRROR:RORRIM Book New Thread
Thu, March 31, 2005 - 3:52 PMlook here! it's packaged and ready to be sent tomorrow (fedex).

Re: MIRROR:RORRIM Book New Thread
Mon, April 4, 2005 - 10:43 AMupdate:
the book was sent today - airmail as fedex would have been too expensive, what with customs clearance and all.
us postal services estimates a week and a half to two weeks delivery time so hopefully my luck is better this time around and i haven't sent the replacement to oblivion...
sorry about the late sending: all the planning in the world and i was slammed last week at work. grf (expression of distaste).
miras - please let me know when it arrives. an update of indyjr is in order? -
-
Re: MIRROR:RORRIM Book New Thread
Mon, April 4, 2005 - 11:02 AMMalcolm: You went way above and beyond the call of duty to replace the book, but cudos to you! And thank-you. -
-
Re: MIRROR:RORRIM Book New Thread
Mon, April 4, 2005 - 12:43 PMno problem! i'm disappointed that all of the treasures from the previous edition are m.i.a., but you never know: they may turn up.
"re-seeded" v1.2 includes polaroids that i took of the christo & jeanne-claude "gates" project in central park last month: enjoy!
would the last reader please return the book to heather champ - i wrote her address on the inside fly-leaf.
thanks,
m.

Re: MIRROR:RORRIM Book New Thread
Tue, April 5, 2005 - 12:52 PMMalcolm - Thanks, great job! I'll let you know as soon as your book arrives. Usually it takes 7 to 10 days with regular US mail.
Regarding the map - this is something I wanted to ask all of you.
Should we create a new map since there is a new book now in the game, or should we stay with the old map (and the route that the previous book has already done) since the spirit is more important than the book itself?
Please let me know your thoughts.
cheers - Miras

here is the good one:
something is wrong with this link in Tribe - it adds some garbage at the end of the link - just type manualy the address in the browser or copy the text - don't click on the link.

Re: MIRROR:RORRIM Book New Thread
Fri, June 24, 2005 - 10:30 AM- as we (were) and still are adding things to the book as it travels around the world, do you think we've creating a meme?
meme (n): A unit of cultural information that represents a basic idea that can be transferred from one individual to another, and subjected to MUTATION, CROSSOVER, and ADAPTATION.
comparison: the mirror project concept is a meme. we see a reflected image and although the idea is the same, our interpretations and visions change and adapt the end result. -

The book is traveling right now - I sent it on Friday to Anne by air-mail.

I hope it will reach you soon.

Re: MIRROR:RORRIM Book New Thread
Thu, September 15, 2005 - 2:08 AMI was just thinking. Since these contributions were also very important to me (because of their personal touch), and we lost a nice collection already - maybe we should scan them before sending and make a little gallery on the web?
Hey Tribe what do you think? Anne what is your opinion, would you be able to scan these little add-ons? -
-
Re: MIRROR:RORRIM Book New Thread
Thu, September 15, 2005 - 10:35 AMHmmm . . . I think that's an excellent idea. I'd be happy to document what's in the book before it leaves my hands. I've added a few odds and ends too and I wouldn't want them to be lost forever.
I'm thinking I'll probably be ready to send it out in a week or so. Should I post the images here, or will that ruin the surprise for others?
P.S. Anthrax, please message me with your mailing address. -

Re: MIRROR:RORRIM Book New Thread

Re: MIRROR:RORRIM Book New Thread
Fri, October 28, 2005 - 11:43 AMuuuuups.. what about polaroid pictures from Central Park, ticket from Empire State Builiding, and couple of restaurant business cards?
I'm quite sure I left them in the book... -
-
Re: MIRROR:RORRIM Book New Thread
Fri, October 28, 2005 - 1:38 PMOh my goodness, I didn't see anything like that! I didn't finish the entire book, things got hectic, so they could have been tucked into a section I didn't read. I know nothing like that fell out, so hopefully they're still in there.
Anthrax . . . when you have a chance, will you look to see if Malcolm additions (polaroids, cards, etc.) are with the book? I hope they're just stuck tight between the pages.
